Gretchen Neddenriep is a third-generation Lake County attorney. Although her formal legal career began in 1999, while growing up, conversation at the family dinner table often involved discussions concerning legal issues.
As a teenager, persuasive arguments had to be made to stay out later with friends or win the keys to the family car. Gretchen’s father raised her to be an advocate, while her mother raised her to be kind and compassionate.
After graduating from Libertyville High School, Gretchen received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She attended John Marshall Law School (now UIC) in Chicago graduating Cum Laude.
Prior to establishing her own firm in 2011, Gretchen was a partner in a mid-sized law firm. Over the years, Gretchen’s practice has involved a variety of areas of the law including civil litigation, probate, estate planning, guardianships, real estate, landlord tenant law, municipal law as well as appearances in the appellate and federal courts.
When Gretchen is not advocating in the courtroom or meeting with clients, she may be found cycling or swimming. In her free time, she also enjoys painting and taking art classes.
